The exhibition group project "Why our bodies should end at the skin ? » brings together several visual artists around the theme of the female body. The title of the exhibition is borrowed from philosopher and professor Donna Haraway and her "Manifeste Ciborg" (Cyborg Manifesto). Some of the project's artworks place the viewer in a situation of discomfort by representing a constrained body that's sometimes disguised, suffocated, hidden or hybridized. These different moments created by the artists all refer to rituals experienced that a female body will experience at different stages of life. They also express the taboos that arise from them. These plastic proposals with their unsettling sensuality materialize the problems of a generation of women who contradict dominant representations.
